Underground Worm founded in 2006, is a multidisciplinary Art & Design studio based in India with its members who are Transmedia Artists. The studio does unconventional and functional works with strong R&D base- by drawing thin line between art and design. The creative directors do self exploration through video installation art, painting, sculpture and photography that gets extended to prospective commercial projects in the area of Branding (Broadcast and Exhibition Designs), Publications (Writing, Illustration and Book Design), Films (TVC, Short, Feature, TV episodic series and Music Videos).

Santosh D. Kale graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design and got his first job on campus interview based on his short film. From there on he worked on various projects for three different studios- related to TV commercials, Broadcast Design, Game Cinematic and Game Design. Moving back to India he mentored professionals for a year to understand the industry and started Underground Worm Art & Design studio – a platform where he could blend Filmmaking, Graphic Design, Illustration, Research, Writing and Programming.

Kavita Singh Kale grew academically as an artist with a BFA degree in painting from College of Art, New Delhi and PG Animation from National Institute of Design, Ahmadabad. She is a versatile media professional whose work has been showcased in national and international platforms. With a decade of experience in original content creation in the field of publication, TV and film industry, she has handled broadcast design, illustrating and writing for children’s books, music videos to short films.
